Global challenges have forced business leaders to make tough decisions on how to allocate resources and where to focus their efforts. While leaders push to improve top-line growth and aggressively manage costs, they find no room left for trial and error.

The Humantelligence Dubai team recently hosted the first session of Ideas Arena, an intimate forum of top executives and policy makers who discuss and explore topics that impact people’s lives in the region and around the world. During this inaugural event, the 20 leaders in attendance discussed climate change and shared ideas about the opportunities and threats that are arising from these profound changes. As with all Humantelligence events, human capital was at the center of the discussion: managing change, minimizing human and economic suffering, and speeding up recovery.

The group was delighted to have Tarek Niazi as a guest speaker, author of the book, More Than 60 Minutes: When Earth Stands Still, who shared an entirely new perspective about the climate shifts that are impacting businesses on a global scale. Bold and thought provoking, his meticulously researched ideas set the perfect stage for reflection and a great discussion. Haydar Ibrahim – General Manager – Business Development, Technical & Marketing at Tata Steel International stated, “We are very interested to hear more about the topic you presented us today said . It is important for us to understand and get prepared. Thank you so much for the opportunity to be here today”.

As Humantelligence’s leader in the region, I strongly believe that we are obligated to create the space and serve as a hub for the exchange of ideas and the sharing of knowledge. The Ideas Arena is a start. With the help of Tarek’s research-based perspectives, we saw that it is possible to stretch our minds and explore many possibilities.

The event lasted for an hour and a half, and everyone agreed to meet again soon to explore these ideas further.
